Mexico is renowned for its amazing Mayan ruins. Tulum is perhaps more well-known than the Chacchoben ruins, however the Chacchoben site is still very impressive and worth your visit.
From our cruise ship docked in Costa Maya, the ruins were a 45 minute van ride through our tour company. Our tour guide and driver were Mayan and were born and raised in the vicinity of the ruins.
As the video illustrates, our guide had a superb knowledge of ancient Mayan culture, traditions, architecture and helped clear up some Mayan myths.
