With the fast approaching holiday season, the small island of St. Bart’s is long familiar with the private planes of the Jet Set. As you will discover, landing on this northern most island of the Lesser Antilles is very spectacular.
St. Barts, it’s full name being Saint Barthelemy, was discovered by Christopher Colombus at the end of the 15th century. He named the island after his brother Barthomley.
St. Barts became a sought after luxurious holiday destination thanks to American millionaire David Rockefeller who bought a property there in 1957. Today the island is inhabited in large part by colony descendants from France.
