Today we are in Mazatlan as we continue the adventures of our Royal Princess Mexican Riviera cruise.
We cruise into balmy Mazatlan bright and early just in time for wonderful view of the port from our stateroom balcony. We meet our guide at the dock, and board a comfortable bus for the relaxing trip to the turtle sanctuary at Estella del Mar.
This is a truly unique Princess Excursion that starts with a visit and introduction to the Turtle Sanctuary. The official name of this excursion is: A Day At The Beach & Marine Baby Turtle Encounter. The Estrella del Mar Turtle Sanctuary is dedicated to the protection, rehabilitation and conservation of the sea turtle within its natural environment.
We we fortunate enough to participate in a mock turtle release on the beach. This Princess excursion may not always include a mock turtle release, so we were happy to have the opportunity. You'll get a good look at the mock release in this video.
